Coronavirus Fraud, Scams, and Phishing:

UPDATE - Stimulus Check Scams: Criminals are already attempting to exploit the coronavirus stimulus package recently passed by the government to steal your information or gain access to your accounts. For more information, please read our Fraud Alert page.

Bad actors are attempting to exploit news about the coronavirus to obtain access to consumers' money or personal information. Scammers are using email, text messages, phone calls, and social media and are often attempting to impersonate government or health agencies such as the CDC and World Health Organization. You may also encounter offers online which seem too good to be true. Visit for more information about coronavirus scams from the Federal Trade Commission.

We want to share a number of ways we are here to serve you, our customer, during this time:

  • We encourage you to access your accounts from home, 24/7 using Trustco Bank's Online Banking or the Trustco Bank's Mobile App to check balances, make payments, transfer funds, deposit checks, or find the nearest ATM. We've made a number of enhancements that make it easier than ever to manage your account digitally.
  • We continue to offer live customer support by calling 800-670-3110 (between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday - Friday, and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, on Saturday) and welcome your call to discuss any concerns.
  • Our branch teams are available to serve you, as always. We've augmented daily cleaning procedures with the use of disinfectant products on high-touch surfaces and working to keep hand sanitizer readily available for all.
  • We are also working diligently to educate branch and front line staff on best practices recommended by the CDC. This includes proper hand-washing, especially after handling cash and documents as well as implementing a temporary "no hand shake" policy. As always, we are still committed to providing exceptional customer service and the friendly home town atmosphere. We have also limited the number of people allowed in our branch at one time.

Our goal is to assist you and your financial well-being by putting you at ease with as little disruption as possible.

We will continue to stay informed and provide transparency as well as evaluate additional measures to support our customers and communities as needs arise.
